Hey!
My name is Lauren, and I am a fine art printing specialist, as well as a photo retoucher.
My career started at Orms, a large photographic company in Cape Town, in 2010.
It was there that I was trained to do fine art printing and with that, I delved into the world of Adobe
Photoshop.
I worked my way up, becoming the head of the fine art department, managing a small team.

During my 8 year career with Orms, I acquainted many known artists, galleries, and photographers,
who I did retouching and printing for.
I was given the opportunity to start a small scale printing and retouching studio with help from Pieter
Hugo, a South African photographer. I decided to leave Orms to pursue this.
I am still with Dog Ear Editions, on a freelance basis, and am currently looking to acquire freelance
photo retouching.

I currently work at Dog Ear Edition, co-founded by Pieter Hugo, a well-known photographer, and
myself. I act as a brand ambassador, therefore responsible for social upkeep as well as the financial
upkeep of the company. My role involves liaising with artists, galleries, and photographers alike, for
fine art printing and retouching.
Head of the Fine Art Department at Orms, Cape Town
October 2010 — December 2018
I was the manager of the fine art department in a large photographic based company. My managerial
role was to supervise a team of 4 people as well as oversee the financial upkeep of the department.
I liaised with clients for fine art printing and retouching.
