Lauren Brunner

I taught a variety of English subjects to English language learners for 5 years at international language schools in China. I taught reading comprehension, academic writing and basis ESL skills to middle and high school students. I also taught English for academic purposes at an American university in Iraq. I advised university students in requirements for completing the English language program and individual language courses. Furthermore, I advised students in university policies and procedures in addition to the academic functions of an American university.

Before teaching, I facilitated interactive learning activities, including group discussions, for adult Liberian refugees in Ghana. I've also done outreach as a program assistant for Big Brothers Big Sisters and as a volunteer for a local animal shelter. While performing outreach, I advertised services, attended events and recruited volunteers.
