Bill of quantities: Preparing final bill of quantities for the scope provided using RS Means for USA projects, and following BICS and NRM for UK and Australian projects. Takeoffs are done using Adobe PDF Pro and Bluebeam. Team Management: Managing a team size of 5 members. Harsco Industrial IKG, a part of Harsco Corporation that produces metal grating and fabricates other plate products serving mainly steel fabricators and the industrial segments such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, etc. Reviewing the Bid set of Structural and Architectural design drawings to identify areas to receive metal grating flooring, checkered plate flooring, stairs and treads. Identifying material standards, allowable practices from the Engineering specifications and applicable codes / standards. Estimating the quantity of main items and extras such as band, nosing, etc. Calculating openings and eventual scrap of grating and plate material to identify payable extras that are allowed per NAAMM. Significant Contributions Part of the newly started Estimation group, reporting to the Estimation and Sales support engineers at the Houston Office. Role and Responsibilities: Cost Estimation: Estimating quantities and working out costs for the items based on the bid description, specifications and Engineering design drawings provided. Bid Preparation: Preparing all Bid document submittals including those for Costing and final Bid forms. Planning: Preparing Project plans, cost expenditure plans, and project completion terms.
