About

I've been a freelance writer, editor and translator for the past 30 years, starting in the book publishing industry and transitioning to web publishing.

I set the ball rolling as a library educational book writer in a publishing firm specializing in books tailored towards students learning English as a second language.

Branching out into magazine publishing, I edited Fire Safety Journal, the first magazine of its kind in Malaysia before offering my services as an editorial consultant for Virtual Malaysia, a travel magazine which showcased the best of Malaysia's travel attractions, food, culture and heritage trails, to name a few.

As an English educational book writer for Malaysian schools, I served about seven book publishers, writing, editing and translating anything from fiction, biography, poetry and even plays. I’ve penned close to 2000 books with word counts ranging from 1000 to 10000 words.

The published books are available across libraries in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

In 2007, I spread my wings to web content creation, setting up [http://freevideoworkshop.com], which offers guidance to digital video beginners in the form of quick guides and tutorials. A tutorial from the site was handpicked by a MIcrosoft MVP (most Valuable Professional) to be featured

in the Microsoft forum for DVD creation.

I honed my web writing skills by researching and writing well over 200 SEO articles for Brighthub on digital video, electronics, gizmos and gadgets and other general multimedia subjects. My articles are available to be viewed on their website.

In 2011 armed with my web content creation and SEO knowledge, I landed an assignment to spearhead the Content Development Department of a travel tech company overseeing the creation of blog, social media and email marketing content.

In 2013 I ventured into ebook publishing and to date have published 3 Kindle books on writing-related subjects.

I also blog at writestation.com where I offer advice and inspiration on the art and craft of writing.
