I am a data scientist and team lead at upgrad.com (an online professional education company) where I lead the development of Data Science and ML/AI courses (I teach some topics in ML algorithms, Deep Learning, NLP and Reinforcement Learning as well). 

I'm proficient with data cleaning and manipulation, building machine learning models and drawing useful, actionable insights from data. Within ML, I am proficient with regression, classification (Tree Models, Ensembles, SVMs, Neural Nets etc.), Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning (MLPs, CNNs, RNNs) and Reinforcement Learning. 

NLP is one of my strong areas - I have worked on projects in syntactic and semantic processing (involving NER, information retrieval, distributional semantics and word embeddings etc.). I have also built and deployed conversational chatbots (using Python/Rasa).

I also have some experience with reinforcement learning though they are all non-industrial projects (mainly academic and exploratory).

Apart from ML, I've also found exploratory data analysis incredibly useful in solving business problems and presenting results visually - mainly using R markdown, ggplot/matplotlib and R shiny apps (interactive data visualisations). You can have a look at some of these projects on my profile.

Short note on my background - I'm a self-taught programmer and data scientist and have a Chemical Engineering degree from IIT-Bombay (graduated with a B.Tech in 2014).
