Incubating printing at custom bonded warehouse – Facility & operational startup, team
selection, Execution and handover to functional team. MRP Labeling/Printing (Retail &
Wholesale) for all imported packaged product sold through channel partners (Around 9000
partlist). 3M is 1st in INDIA to implement ‘MRP Printing at Custom Bonded Warehouse’. %
moved from baseline of 27.1% to 90%. 3M achieved 100% W&M compliance with projected
yearly savings of 120 Million INR.
Transit Claims & Control -Introduced efficient ‘Claims Control Process’ & also established
a fool proof ‘Transit Claim Process’ with 2-way recon to avoid leakages by Lost Claim.
These resulted in a consolidated savings of around 10 Million INR.
Identify supplier for NPI in Thailand: Identified 50+ suppliers to meet the requirements of
Fabrication and casting category and brought 18 suppliers onboard to meet the 45%
localization target within 6 months. Developed standard work for purchasing
functions/process between India and Thailand strategic sourcing. Formed local team and
handed over the project for execution.
Implementing lean at supplier base:Problem involved improving a key supplier in
fabrication to meet the quality certification by implementing lean and reducing the quality
rejection. Value mapping, standardization of work process, implementing inventory control,
raw material optimization by enhancing data management, training of management and
workforce, developing tracking system. Monitoring the performance and identifying projects
for continous improvement. Involved implementation of Safety measures resulting in
tremendous lower rejection rate, process improvement from order management, raw
material supplier to customer delivery.
Implement standard payment termsPurchasing project lead for Supplier Financing
program implementation in India across 5 entities.
Involved identifying suppliers to contribute to cash flow through the supply chain, defining
the process with financial firm, layout the system requirements to meet the tri party
settlement process and define the governance process for implementation. Projected
cashflow of 12.8M$ approved by treasury.
Established 3.3L Engine for global supply at supplier end with all round development of
Manufacturing, engineering, testing, supply chain, IT and sourcing requirements per
Cummins process.
Flawless single handed first time implementation of 19L engine for global supply and
contributed to the company P&L
CII Foundation award for test bed setup time reduction with the increase of the no. of sub
assemblies per shift by 10%.
