Regional office of the Philippines’ executive department in charge of science and technology-related services
in the country and of formulating policies and projects related to the field for national development.
Science Research Specialist I, Pollution Control
Ensures the agency’s compliance to national environmental laws and standards (RA 9003, RA 9275, RA 8749,
RA 6969) by securing permits essential to laboratory operations. Supports the agency in the improvement of its
work environment through personnel-equipping seminars/workshops and provides assistance in banner
programs.
Secured DOST V’s first Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and other permits essential to
laboratory operations through self-study, organized data collection and investigation, and technical
writing.
Continually ensures agency’s adherence to Hazardous Waste Management Act by submission of
quarterly and semi-annual monitoring reports as well as Chemical Control Orders for Lead and
Mercury to the Environmental Management Bureau V.
Drafted the agency’s first work environment plan to ensure worker health, safety, and productivity in

Provides support to the sector by developing projects and assisting in the conduct of activities focused on
women empowerment and adolescent reproductive and mental health.
Volunteer-turned-consultant, co-drafted the proposal for the first annual Outstanding Tabaquena K
Awards, which mainstreamed gender equality and honored outstanding women from the urban poor,
senior citizens, persons with disabilities, barangay workers, and civic organizations for their selfless
service.
Co-developed the Tabaco City Youth Ambassador’s program, a one-year fellowship program that
offers personal development and project management training and mentorship to 20 outstanding youth
leaders and advocates.
