INSTALLING WINDOWS UPDATES
1. At the bottom right hand corner of you Computer Screen you will see either a small white up
arrow, that if clicked on with the mouse it opens a selection box (as per the diagram below)
Or you can go to Start – All Programs – Windows Updates
Or you can go to the Start – Control Panel – System and Security – Windows Update
2. Click on Windows Update and it will open the Update Window as per diagram below. If there
are updates to install it will indicate how many, if there are updates to be installed click on the
“Install updates” button
3. This will start the install, you can minimize the screen and carry on working.
4. When the updates are done the machine will request a reboot, please do so immediately.
5. After ALL Updates are installed and the machine has been rebooted if you check for updates
it should show “Windows is up to date”
