Author’s Haven is a ​Medium​ like application that gives authors a platform to create and share their work with other authors and readers. ​Link​ to the Author’s Haven application. Tembea( 3 months). Tembea is an in-house tool by Andela used to manage transportation of placed developers( a developer who works for an Andela partner). Tembea is used to add or remove a placed developer to a specific route, gather ratings per trip. It is also used by managers for analysis using statistics like most used routes, least used routes and most frequent riders. Roles: ● Worked with the Product Manager and Product Designer to re-design parts of the application in order to improve the user experience. ● Delivered features on the product. ● Undertook the onboarding process of new teammates to the codebase. Tulaa( 3 months). Tulaa is a startup in Kenya that seeks to improve the productivity of smallholder farmers by giving them credits in the form of seeds and fertilizers, offering market advisory and linking the farmers to a market that can buy their produce. I was part of the team that built the tool used by the agents to monitor the farmers they work with. Technologies used: ● Angular. ● Jasmine and Karma. ● Jira. ● Netlify. Roles: ● Worked with the manager to improve the start-up time of the application. ● Was in charge of monitoring the progress of other junior developers and offering help in areas where they might be struggling. ● Worked with the external manager to understand their needs and deliver them as features Shopping Cart. This is an e-commerce site where sellers can create online stores and buyers can browse through the items and buy.
