About

A passionate and enthusiastic writer with creative writing, research, and report writing skills. Having a physical disability enables me to work with a focus on assignments more committedly, using my organizational analytical skills: time management, meeting deadlines, and delegation of tasks to colleagues and staff.

I graduated in Economics from Punjab University. Completed a Development Planning and Management Course from IUCN-Northern Areas Conservation Strategy Support Program and Certificate in Education: Educational Leadership and Management from the Aga Khan University. My community service started with schooling as a volunteer. I led a grassroots campaign for girl education when girl schooling was sinful in my community.

Confronting the stigma of our society towards disability, as well as the gender imbalances, and extreme poverty in rural villages inspired me to work for making a difference in society. So, I volunteered for community empowerment and development for 14 years and resolved basic education, mother and child healthcare, water supply, and irrigation water issues for economically disadvantaged people.

I served in the capacity of the school principal, managing coordinator, program manager, program head, chief organizer, etc. during the last three decades and completed many community development programs and projects successfully.

I was qualified and selected for a fellowship award by the Brookins Institution in Washington DC as one of Echidna Global Scholars to research effective solutions to overcoming barriers preventing children, especially girls' access to education in developing countries such as Pakistan. I was one among three qualified scholars out of 534 candidates globally. I researched and published my paper entitled “Fostering Inclusive Education in Pakistan: Access and Quality Education for All Children through Community-School Networks.

I was invited by the Global Campaign for Education US Chapter on a speaker tour in 2014. As the Guest Speaker I spoke at Albany New York, World Affair Council, Bell Multicultural High School in Washington, DC; Global Kids in New York City, and Georgetown University.

I am telling you that I had nothing except my disability with self-confidence; courage and optimism to keep moving forward toward my life goals. Determination played a key role to sustain my efforts. My belief in actions than words worked in my life.

Now, using my learned skills and knowledge, I want to work online for earning as well as learning. I can work from home easily. I have no internet issue. I am based in Islamabad and can work for hours to accomplish my assignments.
