HOBBIES & INTERESTS
Baking & Cooking: marathoning the Great British Bake Off on Netflix at the end of 2016 / start of
2017 rekindled in me a childhood love of cooking and baking. So I dove head-first back into it and
must be a platinum member of Sur La Table and Williams Sonoma at this point.
Twitter: does this count as a hobby? If I don't have TweetDeck open on my third monitor while
working, I've got the app open on my phone while watching TV. I like to think I've at least curated
my timeline to friends and a few trusted news accounts to keep up with what's going on in the
world without wanting to jump out a window at the state of the world.
Roadtrips: as a child my mom would take us on at least one or two roadtrips every year. Long
drives out to Big Sur or Tahoe where I was able to soak in the scenery as we drove along new and
unexplored roads. I had a GameBoy, but preferred to look out the window rather than keep my
head down. This has carried into adulthood and it's rare that a month goes by without grabbing a
ZipCar and driving out to parts unknown.
