successful MMO game server architecture from 26k to 100k+ concurrent users (CCUs).
Migrated remotely managed hardware to a co-located datacenter for vertical scale and
experimentation, and to the cloud for horizontal scaling. Significantly reduced
operational costs at each stage. Grew from 40 to over 150 servers in three datacenters
including São Paulo, Brazil. Server count scales with load. Entire architecture can be
rebuilt in a day. Abstracted the technology to be easily copied and reapplied to the
company's new line of mobile products.
