About

I am a mobile and product systems engineer with hands-on experience building and operating production mobile applications, backend services, and AI-assisted workflows. My work focuses on making systems reliable, observable, and maintainable in real-world conditions rather than optimizing for feature volume alone.

I have experience developing Android applications in Kotlin, supported by backend services written in Golang and AI pipelines built in Python. Across these systems, I often take ownership end to end—from translating loosely defined requirements into concrete designs, through implementation, debugging, release preparation, and post-release iteration. I am particularly attentive to mobile lifecycle constraints, network variability, and failure handling, as these are often the sources of real production issues.

On the AI side, I have worked with NLP-based classification and automation systems used for message routing and support workflows. My focus is not on experimental models, but on integrating machine learning into production systems with predictable latency, clear evaluation metrics, and safe rollback strategies. I care about how models behave under load, how they fail, and how their outputs are monitored over time.

I have worked in distributed and asynchronous teams across different time zones, collaborating closely with founders, product stakeholders, and other engineers. Clear written communication, explicit ownership, and steady delivery are important to me, especially in remote environments where alignment matters more than visibility.

What I value most in engineering work is trust: building systems that teammates can rely on, and contributing in a way that reduces operational risk for the product. I prefer simple, well-structured solutions over fragile abstractions, and I am comfortable joining existing codebases to stabilize, extend, and improve them.

I am currently based in Japan, fluent in English and Japanese, and open to global remote roles. I am particularly interested in product-driven teams where engineering quality directly impacts user trust and long-term sustainability.
