I am a seasoned multilingual interpreter and translator, specializing in English and French, with extensive experience in various domains, including medical, business, and cultural contexts. My journey into this field has been shaped by rigorous academic training and hands-on experience, making me proficient in delivering high-quality interpretations and translations.

My educational background includes a Master’s in Conference Interpretation from the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI) in Buea, where I am currently refining my skills. Additionally, I hold another Master’s in Translation Studies from the Institut Supérieur de Traduction, d’Interprétation et de Communication (ISTIC) in Douala, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in trilingual studies applied to translation (French, English, and Spanish) from ISTIC in Yaoundé. This strong academic foundation enables me to approach translation and interpretation with a comprehensive understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural intricacies.

My practical experience encompasses diverse roles and responsibilities. As a French Interpreter for the Nkafu Policy Institute under the Denis and Lenora Foundation since November 2023, I provide simultaneous interpretation in various settings, engaging with key issues such as public health, migration, and women's empowerment. I have also participated in notable events like the 1st African Forum on Social and Solidarity Economy, where I ensured seamless communication between English and French speakers.

In addition to my freelance work, I have completed multiple internships that enriched my skill set. These include simultaneous interpretation roles with the World Health Organization (WHO) for Africa, UNAIDS, and the African Food Security Agency (AFSA). Each experience has enhanced my capability to navigate complex subjects and engage with diverse audiences.

I am proficient in several interpretation and translation tools, including SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Subtitle Edit, and Xbench. This technical prowess complements my linguistic skills, ensuring high-quality deliverables regardless of the medium.

My passion for communication drives me to advocate for innovative interpretation methods and continuously improve my craft. I thrive in fast-paced environments and excel under pressure, always committed to delivering accurate and meaningful interpretations. My ability to adapt quickly and engage with people from varied backgrounds allows me to create connections, making each interaction both impactful and memorable.
