In my 1 year as an Audit Associate in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Philippines (Navarro, Amper & Company) in Manila, I gained the following experience: enhanced the audit safeguards of Dole Philippines, Inc.; handled the compliance procedures and audit safeguards of the Cash and Bank Reconciliation Account for Dole Stanfilco, a division of Dole Philippines Inc.; given the task of implementing audit procedures for Diamond Farms, Inc. as supplier for banana exporters. I also handled the statement of controls and substantive procedures on Inventory and Sales for Webforge Philippines Inc., as a specialist manufacturer of metal products; enhanced the audit controls and substantive procedures in a division of FedEx International Philippines. Lastly, I helped improve the audit safeguards for Cash, Project-based Sales, and Purchases for Taylor Nelson Sofres Philippines, Inc. These are just a few notable companies that I added value to their accounting and compliance procedures in the span of my Public Audit Career.
In my 2 years as an Accountant for private companies in my hometown, several Small and Medium Enterprises consulted my accounting experience to adding value to their profitability and sustainability. I helped in managing the A/R, Interest Income for a private lending company and consulted in inventory management for hardware in my hometown. I also had the chance to be part of a start-up business which is a local book retailing business and helped enhanced their accounting safeguards and achieving stability in their financial needs.
