Haymarket Business Publications Ltd, London
I had numerous sales and managerial roles which enhanced my knowledge of the
sales/business and publishing industry:
Most current role: Business Development Manager
Haymarket conference and exhibition department: This involved selling
sponsorship and marketing opportunities across the portfolio of B2B and public
sector conferences including Young People Now and Children Now conference. It
was my responsibility to look for revenue generating ideas and seek new business
partnerships to develop the conference division. Furthermore I needed to report and
project revenue against the business plan to ensure we reached our financial goal.
On leaving this role I had contributed approximately £85,000 new business revenue
alone, the majority of which was sold against new conferences that were launched
against established competitor events.
Advertisement Manager
Young People Now – Public sector title:
I launched and manage this title and helped to establish it within the youth sector. I
presented to clients, charities and voluntary organisations at all levels from Junior to

Whilst working at Haymarket I also worked on Revolution magazine and Campaign
