summary.
born in durban, i moved to cape town to study and later, work.
after 3 years as a copywriter, i was promoted to creative group head.
my clients included takealot.com, hollard insurance, nando’s, virgin active,
old mutual, heineken, the western cape government, and more.
i believe it’s a creative’s duty to use their skills for good. so i worked
on all of the agency’s ngo accounts, including dementia sa, the united
nations, wwf, the wheat foundation, the haven shelter and the global fund.
among other projects, i co-founded the street store. a free “pop-up clothing
store” for the homeless, clothing 1 million people, and counting, globally.
i’ve been awarded locally and internationally for change-making and
advertising, and have had amazing opportunities to speak on how creativy
can change the world, at forums such as tedX, the global women’s forum,
roi change-makers conference, and forbes women africa.
i also co-own a national restaurant portal, so i eat a lot. it’s wonderful.
