I am always motivated to continue to grow my skills, both through further education, and through employment at Farber and the Ontario College of Family Physicians. You will see from my online portfolio katieghammond.com that I have explored many aspects of design and have come to really love the exploration and development of “the brand”. At Farber I am responsible for all aspects of the brand and ensuring that it is represented in everything that we distribute. I am also responsible for all digital collateral and communications, including social media, mailings, announcements, and newsletters. As such, I have created blog posts, landing pages, events, and firm-wide communications.

I know how to manage a project end-to-end. I strive for innovation and am passionate about growth and learning; I’m motivated to go the extra mile to get it right. I understand how important it is to be willing to adjust on the fly for the good of the project. I believe in creative solution-based thinking. I am a strong communicator and listener. I am also very comfortable working independently.

I have quite a lot of experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and the Adobe Suite, as well as a good grasp on HTML and CSS. I have amassed a lot of interest in social media and have managed the accounts for Farber, several synchronized swimming clubs, as well as my personal accounts; I have developed and implemented social media plans and calendars. I have been honing my skills this year regarding SEO and analytics and welcome the chance to further develop and challenge those skills.

As a former high-performance athlete and now a Coach, I understand how to iterate towards excellence. Because of my experience as both athlete and coach, I know what it means to work with a team and how very important collaboration and creative problem solving is. I believe strongly in team work, but I also believe in always bringing something to the table, so I understand how important it is to be a self-starter who initiates my own ideas and projects to help not only myself grow, but also the company.

I have a strong sense of organization and thrive in high-pressure situations. I am reliable about timelines and am comfortable multi-tasking. I have strong written and oral communication skills and believe that hard work is always rewarded.
