Katherine Ramos

I am CPA in the Philippines currently taking up my Post Grad Degree in Business Management here in Canada.

After finishing my degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2010, I immediately took up the board examination for accounting and I passed it. Once I had my certification, I started working as a Junior Accountant in a small auditing firm. To gain more experience, I decided to join Henkel as an Intercompany Accountant where some of my responsibilities were reconciliation, issue resolution and query management. I also had the opportunity to oversee and support associates in performing their tasks. Being in Henkel taught me how to communicate and understand different people since we were handling markets outside the Philippines.

With the learnings I had with Henkel, I looked for an opportunities outside the country and fortunately, I was able to get a job as a General Accountant in Abu Dhabi. After 2 years working in Abu Dhabi, I moved back to the Philippines as I realized there were more opportunities there for me. I started working again as an Intercompany Accountant at Goodyear. With my perseverance and dedication to my work, I was promoted as Senior Intercompany Accountant where some of my roles were analyzing gaps in team performances and setting Key Performance Indicator. Being a senior, I was able to have a perspective on how to lead a team as I closely worked with my team lead on how to improve our processes, identify supports needed by the team to meet our targets and provide feedback to our manager with regards to our team or individual performances. And since we were able to explore different opportunities within Goodyear, I moved back to controlling team as a Senior Accountant to have extensive knowledge about  accounting and to understand the business more.

With the 10 years I had experience in Accounting, I know I am capable to do any task related to such.
