I'm a senior full-stack engineer with experience starting innovative projects and companies. My Ruby and Ruby on Rails skills are exceptional. I've been building Ruby on Rails and Javascript applications since 2006. These apps have been more than basic MVC apps. I've created payments, conferencing, media archiving, CSS customization, chats, and presentation systems. When possible I used open-source libraries. In more complex cases, I had to write custom code to leverage new technologies. As a result, I'm quick to pick up new tools and technologies. I'm comfortable using the major frameworks like Rails, React, Sinatra and Next.js. I've also built strong Elixir, Chef, Saltstack skills.

I've had the chance to build apps that grew from an idea to high availability apps with global audiences. I've solved the technological scaling problems and built teams that could keep scaling. Aa a manager and coworker I like to keep things fun but maintain strong standards. Creating good software comes from the basics. Write tests, talk with your stakeholders, keep your process simple, be adaptable. I work hard to try to make doing these things easy for teams.
