Julie Lewis

I have 20 years experience as an educator. I've taught and tutored students from all different backgrounds, ages and settings. For example, I've taught adult learners, international students, college-age young adults, high school students, and middle school students. I've also tutored students individually in their homes, taught overseas, in private schools, and in community colleges and universities.

I have particular expertise as a writing instructor at the college level; therefore, I know exactly what colleges are looking for in an essay. I have a Master's degree in Education and a passion for English Grammar and Writing.

I enjoy working with students and helping them reach their full potential. I am passionate about developing each student's own voice and helping each become a success.

Additionally, I've developed most of my own course content over my career as an instructor, tutor, and teacher. I get excited about the chance to develop material that speaks to the individual student's needs while engaging each student in the learning process.

As an educator, I'm concerned about the whole person. I have background in the mental health field, counseling, and psychology which helps me meet the needs of the student on every level, taking into account learning style, personality, and family background.
