1. Pre-Analytical Stage:
a. Obtain patient information such as full name, age, gender, address, contact number, requesting physician’s name and tests.
b. Give instructions or information to patients regarding their tests.
c. Receive and reject, if applicable, specimens collected outside laboratory premises.
d. Assessment of patient’s tests and its corresponding prices.
e. Venipuncture.
f. Running controls and making QC graph.
2. Analytical Stage:
a. Processing and examination of urine, blood or stool.
b. Calculating and finalization of final results to be printed.
3. Post-Analytical Stage:
a. Logging and printing of results.
b. Rechecking the printed results with the “raw” results.
c. Logging of results to its corresponding logbook.
