Julian Bothwell

I am a recent graduate from George Mason University where I majored in public relations and minored in Spanish. Some of my relevant course work includes Organizational Communication, Advanced Principles of Public Relations, Writing Across the Media, Persuasion, and Research Methods in Communication. My Spanish course work has developed my intercultural communication skills, and a relevant class is Multilingualism: Identity and Power.

My real-world experience includes a school-sponsored internship with REV Pilates, in which I led a team of five students, over the course of a semester, in developing public relations and marketing strategies and producing media content, such as blogs, graphics, and posts for Instagram. Along with my share of the content creation workload, as the leader I organized meetings, work schedules for members, and served as the communication conduit between the owners of REV Pilates and the team.

I also interned for five months at the Medical Society Consortium. There I worked on the social media campaign Humans and The Climate by contacting doctors, acquiring pictures and quotes from them on climate related health issues in their communities. As well, I assisted in operating the 2019 Medical Society Consortium Annual Conference. In the conference, I operated registration and helped organize speakers and attendees in the conference rooms.
