Around 30 years of IT experience in different areas.
Involved in software and hardware. Have been working in PC-support, as server administrator (Linux, Windows), networking (Linux based firewall, VPN-s, switches, WiFi), virtualization (KVM, VMware). Managed different applications starting from e-mail filtering and web servers to databases (MySql, Postgres, Redis, Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and all the usual suspects like Samba and Exchange in between.
Have been a software developer and still doing some small scale development in multitude of different languages. Examples include ticketing system, different hardware peripheral integrations.
Worked as development manager for projects like SSO, hotel web booking system, integration between two rigid sales systems, tablet based system for hotel room maintenance, Apple wallet passes generator and others.
I really like to get into technical details, know the issues and do some analytics and sometimes reverse engineering to get things working correctly. Opera PMS integrations actually do require it quite a lot.
I'm also managing Jira and Confluence installations for very different projects. Scrum Master certificate (can be renewed, if needed) and working knowledge of Kanban is of use in many cases helping those projects to get organized.
I also like tinkering with my home automation if time permits. Lately got interested in machine learning and of course cryptocurrencies.
There are still a lot of new ad interesting things to get excited about. I did really enjoy taking some online courses during lock down. Lock down also reminded me how much I do like working remotely.
