I am a retired seafarer of almost 20 years making me a well-traveled person (having to visit a lot of countries). That gives me a good perspective of how cultures differ but almost the same at the core elements. I have always been a writer at heart as I have kept journals of my observations, insights and even caricatures of my experiences working as a seafarer. I had worked as the Editor-in-Chief in my high school paper and as a contributing writer in College. I wanted to pursue a career in Journalism or Multimedia Broadcasting but financial circumstances led me to a different career.
