• Reconcile the bank and book account at least once a month and double check that each entry is coded to the correct account.
• Checking of bookkeeping accounts at month end and adjusting any transactions to be recoded.
Checking on the general ledger once monthly to ensure it balances and accounts are accurate.
• Draw up financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, Cash Flow)
• File all documents into appropriate folders. Ensure all folders are cleared of old documents by
archiving them.
• Entails daily use of a computer, kept on the PC save or back it up every day before leaving the
office.
