I have a Master’s degree on the subject of Education. Certified as a NET (National Eligibility Test) assistant professor by the Unions Grant Commission (UGC). My Graduation subjects are History, Political Science, Economics and English.

Experience:

Since 2013: post-graduate teacher in the subject of Education,School Principal and Headmaster at St. John’s High School since 2013 in Assam.

2011 to 2012: educator, manager and counsellor at Wisdom (drugs and alcohol rehabilitation) Centre in Meghalaya. January 2009 to December 2010: Head of Administration and at Avenues English Training Centre in Shillong, where I also taught Soft Skills and Spoken English. 2003 to 2008: Unit Manager in BPO operations in Bangalore -  where I also served as a Voice and Accent trainer and a customer service executive. 2001 to 2003: English Language teacher at Silver Oak School in Mizoram. 1998 to 2001, I was a warden and tutor at St Dominic’s College in Meghalaya. 1993 to 1998: free-lance news-reporter and senior-sub-editor at Local English Dailies in, Meghalaya.

In theory, practice and experience the amalgamation of the experiences above has given me first-hand knowledge of the education system. The teaching experiences have honed my skills to be in tandem with the holistic, integrated, enjoyable and engaging for curriculum and pedagogy development.

The rehabilitation and residential environments have developed my counselling

and interpersonal skills. My stint with teaching the English language, reporting and editing for English newspapers has given me excellent writing skills.

Skills and Competencies are: creating, writing or editing content on educational analysis, research, management, administration, teaching, teacher-leadership, career guidance, career management, career development, career advice and career counselling; writing essay, assessment, research, development and training material on education as a field of knowledge. Psychological counselling in the areas of mental, emotional and psychological well-being; programs for practical learning in the disciplinary and professional dimensions of education.

I can provide material for instructors with complete resource sets for their

courses and lesson plans. Provide learners with quality information

whether from a full textbook or student facing sheets or use pre-existing

content and other resources by aligning them to new learning initiatives.

Curate free resources exist on the internet and incorporate them into learning activities.

Create PowerPoint presentations for synchronous lecture for visual trainers and learners.

Curriculum Development

Grade 6 to 10 on Mathematics, Social Science, English Literature and Grammar, wherein subject matter expertise includes learner need assessment, learning objectives, instructional designs, holistic learning courses/modules/activities, lesson plans, learning outcomes, tests activities, evaluation, development of rubrics for assessment and performance metrics report.

Grade 11 ,12 and Bachelor’s Degree on Political Science, Education, History, English Literature and Grammar, wherein subject matter expertise includes learner need assessment, learning objectives, instructional designs, holistic learning courses/modules/activities, lesson plans, learning outcomes, tests activities, evaluation, development of rubrics for assessment and performance metrics report.
