Achievements
Libya
Was instrumental in the computerization of the branch’s activities including the Accounts, Payroll, Invoicing, and Project Monitoring through various in-house developed systems.
Since Libya’s internet infrastructure was not very reliable, most of our sites / offices were linked with VSAT communications. This was a challenge that I took up and was successful in implementing very reliable and stable internet facilities through the VSAT systems.
Was actively involved in suggesting cost reduction measures of the company.
Installed the complete networking facilities of the branch which included 1 Head office and 7 branch offices / sites at remote locations with some of them deep in the Sahara desert.
VOIP services were also available for communications throughout the sites.

Faregh Phase 2 Gas Processing Facilities – Waha Oil Company.
Petroleum Products storage and Distribution facilities – Brega Petroleum Marketing Co.
340 KM 30” main transmission crude oil pipeline – REPSOL.
385 KM 30” transmission crude oil pipeline – REPSOL.
Gas and Oil Separation plant with a 200,000 BPD capacity for REPSOL.
Engineering, Design, Procurement and Construction of oil terminal with 1,800,000 BPD for REPSOL.

Qatar
Supervised the company’s network design and layout for a successful DMVPN to connect to the remote site offices.
Uplinks were created utilizing MPLS connection to 4 branch offices.
Helped in the Migration from the legacy systems to SAP during the roll out process.
VOIP services were implemented in the branch with CISCO (CUCM).
Reduced telecommunication costs by implementing a very streamlined and economical plan for the employees based on user requirements.
Was instrumental in setting up of the site offices at the ECS stadium project (FIFA 2022) from scratch and actively involved in the daily site IT issues.
Implemented a CCTV system for the main office.
Supervised and maintained an access control system with integration to the payroll system and daily reporting options.

Job Responsibilities
1.Worked as IT Manager for J&P Qatar W.L.L. at their operations in Qatar.
2.Maintained and supervised the operations of the Domain Controllers, Call Managers (CISCO), FTP server, Email domain, Document Management Systems etc.
3.Role included advising on aspects of security, data management and system management.
4.Managed the entire computer networks of company which includes 2 Windows 2008/2012 servers and more than 200 workstations.
5Main applications running on the server include Payroll, Administration (manpower maintenance), Contracts Monitoring, Estimators (Tendering), Nominal Ledger System, Stock Control Systems, etc.
6System supervisor for all the above systems. Also handling the Database administration of all the Networks.
7.Support and training for users. Since we have a lot of sites around the country various queries and trouble shooting of user problems have to be resolved through telephone communications or by remote management.
8.Supervising the various multimedia presentations which the company requires from time to time showing the various activities of the company.
9. All Recruitment processes for the IT department were handled by myself.
10.Suggesting and implementing improvements to the IT systems within the company taking into considerations the growing needs of the various departments and the rapid development in the IT World.
