About

I'm José, and ever since I can remember I've been in front of a computer, either trying to make some game work, enjoying it briefly or completely reinstalling it to add more mods. This started when I was 4, my parents had a Windows 98 computer and they say I always played with it (I don't recall this at all). I do remember the days of Windows XP, emulators, modding, playing around with .cfg files and cheat engine to get infinite money in GTA. I always knew I would work with computers because it's the thing I know the most, but overall, one of my biggest passions.

I'm a Computer Engineering student and I now have over four years of professional experience with Python and extensive experience in IT. I have focused on automation of tasks, webscraping, development of web apps to solve complex problems with a user friendly-interface. I have a good foundation in math, logic and computer science. I can learn resources and develop skills quickly and some of the ones I've already worked with are:

  • Web Development (Flask, Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript)

  • Database management (MySQL, SQL, Postgres, SQLite, ORMs like sqlalchemy with Alembic)

  • Linux at intermediate-user level (Server setup and deployment of webapps)

  • Software Development in general (Python, Git, Octave, VBasic)

  • Automation (API Integration, Selenium and Web automation in general)

  • Data processing and analysis (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, very good in MS Excel)

  • Othe computer skils (Image manipulation, Basic video and GIF editing, Figma web design)

That's all about my professional experience. I'm not limited to this though, I've played around with electronics, robotics, programming in more languages like C++ or Java, and I love working on cars. I just have natural curiosity and can't hold the need to tear apart the fridge and learn all about how it works (damn, now I gotta put it back together).
