I have been a Medical Assistant for 7 years. I worked for alongside a dermatologist and gynecologist for a year until the dermatologist retired. I now solely work in gynecology (OBGYN). I have experience in patient care, triage, procedures, patient counseling both in office and via phone, notifying patients of their lab results, front office, back office, scheduling patient appointments, creating treatment plans, pharmacy communications, calling in patient prescriptions and any miscellaneous tasks needed of the doctor. I thoroughly enjoy communicating with patients and helping them in whatever way I can. I have an excellent attention to detail that I apply to all tasks needed of me. I am able to communicate with patients in a way that helps both me and the patient create a professional relationship tailored to their specific case. I like to always do my best to listen to and understand the patient while having the appropriate bedside manner and empathy. I believe the best plan starts with communication.
