NOTES
*4 year Degree. The Australian university system is unlike the European. Students normally complete a four year
degree for industry and not a three year bachelor + two year masters as in Europe.

VULY SLAM PRO
The Vuly Slam Pro was a
project to inject Vuly's focus on
unique style and functional
professionalism into the
Basketball arena. A project
completed in less than six
months, I was the sole designer
on this project, working with
the engineering team at Vuly.
The product was launched in
September this year.
2018
VULY SLAM PRO
The design features height
adjustment using hidden gas
struts - a world first, and a
stylised base with basketball
holder and a nested water and
pump holster.
2018
VULY 360 PRO PLAYSET
The 360 pro Playset was
launched this year,
fulfilling the vision I had
for the Playset while
working at D3 Design in
2016. The modular
design introduces the
cubby, the sprung soccer
goal, bounce deck,
wrecking ball, child
swing, monkey-bar and
sand pit.
VULY 360 PRO PLAYSET
As was always the intention,
the playset can extend in
multiple directions and of
course features the 360
swing, a completely original
floating deck which affords
skate-ramp style play in the
back-yard. I envisioned and
designed the 360 Swing
while working at D3 Design
in 2016.

ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
A project completed over two years,
this was my primary focus at Roccat
(Hamburg) and a project solely
designed, modelled and developed
by myself. The style represents a
new design language for Roccat
which was created by myself and
refined among my colleagues as we
developed the new product range.
20 1 3 - 1 5
ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
The mouse is modular featuring
interchangeable thumb buttons
over mechanical micro-switches.
This was a world first for mice. I
also designed the theory behind
how this could work
mechanically.
20 1 3 - 1 5
ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
The mouse also features two
interchangeable right sides
which clip on with magnets.

ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
Because Roccat’s CEO
demanded absolute quality, the
style, surface finishing and
tolerances were laboured over.
The mouse was launched in
2015 with in a wave of hype.
benchmarkreviews.com gave it
a 9.55/10 which is one of the
highest ever recorded for a
gaming mouse.

pages of sketch concept and detail
development.
20 1 3 - 1 5
ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
Higher quality presentation
sketches used to review details
for future design modifications
20 1 3 - 1 5
ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
During development, multiple
focus group research phases
were undertaken with Roccat’s
beta-testers. The research
material, surveys and
interviews were conducted by
myself.
20 1 3 - 1 5
ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
I developed many physical
prototypes in foam, clay and 3D
print to design, test and review.
The 3D surface model was
created around a scan of the clay
prototype to very tight precision.
Gamers can feel differences in
shape of 0.5mm
20 1 4 - 1 5
ROCCAT NYTH GAMING MOUSE
Upon the CEO’s request I also helped create
a 3D print library of differing buttons and
finger rests which are downloadable for
users. I believe this was also a world-first for
gaming mice.

ROCCAT BINAURAL SPEAKER BAR CONCEPT
A conceptual design to house a new
speaker bar technology. The form of the
bar had to keep in style with our
newly developed design language.
20 1 4
ROCCAT BINAURAL SPEAKER BAR CONCEPT
As with the Nyth, this project was
undertaken solely by myself. Here is
shown quick web research and sketch
concept development for review.
20 1 4
ROCCAT BINAURAL SPEAKER BAR CONCEPT
A working prototype was required to house
the technology for a demonstration model.
Shown is the painted 3D print I made in
preparation.

ROCCAT BINAURAL SPEAKER BAR CONCEPT
The final working prototype which
was shown to potential investors at
CES in 2014.

ROCCAT MODULAR HEADSET REST
This is a headset rest with
integrated sound modules
which could be dropped in
according to user preference. I
undertook all research, concept
and detailing on this project.
Like the speaker bar the form
had to be in keeping with
Roccat’s new design language
and product range. I also
realistic 3D-printed / painted
prototype for review.
20 1 4
ROCCAT GAMESCOM EXHIBITION BOOTH
Designed to showcase Roccat’s
newest products the booth
captured the new design language
and also represented a futuristic
city-scape. Accord- ing to the CEO
is was Roccat’s most succesful
stand to date.

WILTSHIRE CAST IRON POT
This pot was designed at D3
as part of a range for
McPherson’s consumer
products. A very open brief, I
wanted to create forms which
the eye would travel around
gently, but which were
simultaneously comfortable
in the hand.
20 1 0
WILTSHIRE STAINLESS SAUCEPAN
This saucepan was designed as part of the same
range. The underside of the handle had a
rounded triangular form which fitted beautifully in
the hand and facilitated tipping and pouring etc.
20 1 1
WILTSHIRE DOUBLE SIDED PEELER
This peeler features a regular and
a serrated peeling blade. The form
is straightforward but features
rounded edges which fit nicely in
the hand.
20 1 1
WILTSHIRE UTENSIL STAND
This concept featured an elongated
glass container with a magnetic
stainless plate on the inner back wall
to hold knives.
20 1 1
WILTSHIRE ROBOT CAKE TIN
Of the many concepts I did for
McPhersons while at D3, this
cake tin of all things did actually
get made.
20 1 0
WILTSHIRE PREMIUM KNIFE BLOCK
This knife-block was developed to
house the Wiltshire-Premium knife
range designed by D3. The brief
was to create something
contemporary which had not been
seen before but showcased the
knives. The smoky transparent
base makes it easier to identify
which knife is which.
20 1 1
MANICARE TWEEZERS
These tweezers were part of
a concept presentation to
McPhersons. They were
developed in order to
maximise grip while
maintaining precision.

RAE MORRIS BRUSH AND PACKAGING
Rae Morris already had a
concept for a magnetic brush
when she came to D3, but
they all lay sideways and
stuck together. I suggested
the brushes stand on their end
on a metal tray and the product
remains today. I also specified
the wood, brush colour and
ferrule finish for
her range and designed these
pack concepts.
