Jonathan Bessette

I'm a creative and ambitious writer who has spent the last 10 years pursuing my craft in many different environments. Whether it's in academia, in community, or online, I've written and edited with many individuals and groups to produce a fine product that is interesting and accessible to a large group of people. I've written novels, short stories, screenplays, poetry, and many other styles and genres, and I've also edited the same types of material. I've worked in professional and casual settings, and have a strong work ethic, and function well both in collaborative and individual situations. I'm defending my MFA Thesis in Creative Writing this summer and hope to put my new education to good use and participate in the market of writing and editing. I strive to create a positive environment everywhere I go. It's important for me to nurture the people who I work with and be a force for good in my workplace. I like the thrill of bringing a piece of writing to its final revision and knowing that it is exciting, persuasive, and easy to read and consume. Whether working in an office, or remotely, or through Slack and other remote technology, I find that I have the right skills to succeed. I look forward to working with you and your staff to produce the best possible product for each project that I am involved in.
