FUNCTIONAL TESTING (Web, Mobile, and REST API)
With over three years of experience in manual functional testing, I have validated software quality across REST APIs, web platforms, and mobile applications.
**REST API Testing **
I perform comprehensive functional testing of REST APIs, validating endpoints against business requirements, ensuring compliance with HTTP standards, and covering edge cases. Using Postman, I execute and verify request/response cycles, analyze payloads, and confirm correct handling of status codes and errors.
Beyond functional correctness, I also test API contracts, backward compatibility, and integration scenarios—key to maintaining reliability in service-based architectures. My background in Java Spring Boot helps me trace issues to their root causes, whether they stem from logic, configuration, or data handling.
Tools used:
Excell - for creation of test case
Postman - testing the function of the developed microservices that is completed
SQL - data handling
Redmine - for logging of effort hours
GitLab - utilize for uploading deliverables to the environment of the client
Gitbash - used to upload the deliverbles in the GitLab
Web and Mobile Application Testing
I also conduct manual functional testing for web and mobile applications, applying a user-focused and structured approach.
I’ve tested web and mobile banking applications for a local bank in the Philippines, focusing on systems that connect company payroll services to the bank environment. This includes validating salary disbursement processes and ensuring accurate government-mandated deductions (e.g., tax, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
For mobile testing, I validate across Android and iOS platforms, checking performance under various screen sizes, OS versions, and connectivity conditions. For web applications, I ensure browser compatibility, responsive layout, and seamless API integration. I also collab with the developers counter partners of the project which is from india
Tools used:
_JIRA - for test case __
Browserstack - testing for mobile app, this is simulation only not testin on real device
Excell - for logging of effort houts
Postman - for changing password for the credentials we used to utilize the app and mobile app of the bank
Collaboration and Quality Mindset
My combined background in back-end development and testing allows me to bridge communication between QA and engineering teams effectively. I provide detailed bug reports, recommend fixes aligned with development best practices, and retest efficiently after patches.
Guided by a quality-first mindset, I aim not only to identify defects but also to anticipate risks early, contributing to consistent, secure, and reliable user experiences across all platforms.
