My name is Jon Shearburn and I am writing to you about the listing for the Social Media Video Producer position. I have over fifteen years of experience in film and video production, mostly in editing & post-production; I have edited everything from feature films to branded content to :15 social media videos. Workflows and organizational standards I’ve created have been implemented at production companies and among creative teams to help manage the projects and ensure the post-production process runs as smoothly as possible. This experience allowed me to create custom workflows for the feature films The Abaddon Hotel, Star, Hell House, LLC, and Seclusion. Additionally, I have trained editors to transition from other software to Premiere, instructed animators on the needs of editors, and overseen a post-production team in both corporate and creative environments. Some additional experiences and skills I’d like to highlight are:
Visualizing and executing producers’ visions through editing and animation using Adobe Premiere and After Effects (and the rest of the Creative Cloud), as well as Avid, FCP7 and FCPX
Managing a post team as well as freelance sound designers, musicians and VFX artists
Creating a new and unique workflow for the film Watermelon Magic to edit and finish a product that was created entirely with RAW still images.
