Hi, I’m John. I have a computer science degree from Portland State University and have specialized in programming for traders for over a decade. I help clients develop and automate their strategies and indicators across various platforms.

I am especially fast and knowledgeable in NinjaTrader’s NT7 and NT8, and Metatrader’s MT4 / MQL4, with many tricks for getting around platform limitations and integrating either of them to various programs via APIs.

I regularly work across many programming languages and platforms, including TradingView’s PineScript, TradeStation’s EasyLanguage, ThinkOrSwim’s ThinkScript, C#, Python… and am constantly keeping up my skills with new knowledge. It’s likely that if you have a question about automated trading possibilities, I’ll be able to help find you the answer.

I value long term clients and good working relationships. My work is always well documented and organized so other developers can understand it and make further enhancements to it in the future.

Two simple example projects I can show, RangeFinder and Vol_Bid_Ask, are in my portfolio and are free to use and/or distribute. Just let me know if you’d like the source code. I have done much more complex projects for many clients, but I do not own any of that code and have signed NDAs with many of them. I have many good references available upon request, for happy clients that I’ve worked with. Just ask.
