Applies general understanding of technical concepts, practices and procedures and general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to operating and maintaining terminal equipment in connection with the receipt, storage, blending and transfer of LPG products.
Prepare terminal reports and maintain daily log reports including turnover reports and tank interim
Calculating product stocks from vessels, bullets/trucks and tank storage
Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards and notifies the shift/team of equipment requiring maintenance
Participates in safety related activities including observations, Job Safety Analysis development, and safety committee
Recording, viewing, and compiling operations records, test results, and gauge readings such as temperature, pressure, level and flow
Regularly conducts Servo Gauge repeatability to determine its accuracy and functionality and conduct density update as required.
Ensures all terminal equipment, including safety devices and systems, are functioning properly. Reporting all near-misses, incidents and accidents and malfunctioning equipment
Set up and gauges LPG transferred to and from tanks and road tankers, including ships and other vessels at the jetty
Performs valve lineups, switch and tank changes as required to move LPG in and out of storage tanks. Working diligently and following all safety requirements to prevent product contamination, spills and product loss
Performs tank inspections, make analyses of tank contents and prepare records as required, make routine daily inspections of facilities
Assists driver and customer perform vessel and lorry gantry operations duties as required
Maintains location appearance, carry out minor routine repair and maintenance of equipment, maintain facility in exemplary condition
Responds to terminal emergencies
May perform other general operational, maintenance and project work responsibilities as directed
Trains and supervises junior operators until they are able to work on their own including OJTs
