John Mark Belardo

I have been working in study abroad field with the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE), Khon Kaen Study Center, for 13 years. My most recent position was the Manager of Academic Affairs and Program Projects, overseeing and managing the community-based education for both college and high school students from the U.S. in the Northeast of Thailand. 

I have also been working as a professional translator/interpreter. Some of my experience were:

• Interpreter at the 2017 Isaan Human Rights Festival at Mahasarakham for the Finnish, Swedish and the United Kingdom Ambassadors to Thailand.

• Interpreter for the “Yes to Life, No to Mining” in Oaxaca, Mexico in October 2015

• Interpreter at the 2014 International Academic Seminar on Human Rights in Khon Kaen for Deputy Head of Mission from the EU, New Zealand, Canadian, and British Ambassadors to Thailand, and Political officer from the U.S. Embassy

• Participate in SUPER-T Training of Trainers in Philadelphia, U.S.A. in June 2010

• Translating 13 Human Rights Reports for communities within the Northeast of Thailand.
