I have been developing projects, entirely remotely, for the past several years. Most recently I have become interested in IoT development, and have been working mainly with Alexa and ESP chips (ESP8266/ESP32). Much of my prior experience was with .NET on various Windows platforms; much of my remote experience over the past few years was development mobile apps for IOS and Android.
I am a versatile developer, and have always been. I welcome the opportunity to learn a new system or technology, and in many ways that is my specialty. I have always been able to go from zero to competence in a very short time, and especially so when that new system or technology is interesting to me.
Coding is like breathing to me. While the core of my experience has been in .NET since the beginnings of .NET way back in the day, I do not consider myself to be strictly a .NET guy, or tied to any one technology. As I've said, I enjoy learning new systems, and taking those systems and organizing things according to the rules of those systems.
Since beginning to work remotely several years ago, I've decided that this is the only way to work. Not just because I enjoy it more, but because I feel that I can deliver value to the client many times more effectively than an average desk-bound employee. I can give reasons why I believe this is true, and examples.
