Jissey Raye Lorena Rafanan

I have been competing in writing contests since my elementary school days. I first learned News Writing, where I represented my school and then my city twice. The first attempt at a regional contest was unsuccessful, but my second attempt earned me a slot in the national levels. I was also the first National Champion for my Region and City in the 33rd National Quiz Bee in the category of General Knowledge and International Affairs. This aside, I routinely represented my school and course in several essay writing contests where I usually walk away with the top plum. I channeled all my endeavors in writing into producing one novel (currently unpublished) and several short articles relating to world affairs in my school organ. I have taught Science subjects at an International School and developed and taught STEM Track's Medical Curriculum and taught research subjects and wrote research papers.
