Studying pure chemistry at the University of Jos has helped hone and harness my analytical and design-thinking prowess. It has helped me see the world through the vistas of a problem solver and value creator. As a pioneer fellow at the Click-On-Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme, I supported the state’s data revolution plan of pipelining and modelling data for the health sector. Through this, I have grown technical skills and practical experiences in supporting the government of Kaduna state in improving health planning and policy tracking through triangulating and modelling data from multiple sources. I am conversant with the use of modern tools in exploratory data analysis. I’ve actively participated in developing and automating ETL frameworks for streaming, pipelining and visualizing data; creating automation for large datasets that can enable planning and decision making within the health sector. I have the requisite knowledge of using Python and R for data preparation and exploration. Working as part of a larger team, I’ve worked on applying Machine learning concepts to predict causality between human resourcing and distribution of burden using time series forecasting methods thereby providing avenues for the use of data for effective decision making. I have practical experience in scripting data collection forms using the ODK tool and have participated in the SDGs survey of the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics. I worked as part of a team of 9 on data preparation and analysis in the Integrated Supportive Supervision (ISS) of Primary healthcare facilities in Kaduna State. My passion and drive stem from working with key stakeholders to identify data sources, define data collection processes and optimize preparation exercises. I’m versed in the use of statistical tools to interpret datasets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts. I have collaborated with project teams in identifying opportunities for process improvements, recommending system modifications, and developing policies for data governance. In cascading knowledge, I am knowledgeable in creating appropriate documentation for stakeholders through developing project presentations, articles, briefs and research findings for dissemination. I have a vested interest in digital transformation products, and I seek research/job opportunities to develop my capacity and skills as I hope to make giant strides in solving technology challenges through the use of advanced data science and data analytics tools employing scrum frameworks. I’m passionate about working in an organisation that embodies my passion for solving digital transformation issues by bridging the gap between talents and opportunities.
