For the past few years, I’ve been working as a Medical Virtual Assistant and Healthcare Coordinator in the Mental Health Industry. In those roles, I handled patient intakes, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and I also served as the first point of contact for patients.
A big part of my work was making sure providers and patients were always connected and that everything flowed smoothly.
I also have experience training team members, organizing meetings, and tracking KPIs, so I’ve developed strong organizational and communication skills. Along with that, I’m very comfortable using healthcare tools like Tebra, AdvancedMD, Availity, Headway and different scheduling platforms.
What I enjoy most about this type of work is being able to support patients and providers in a way that makes their experience easier and stress-free.
