After more than 20 years in customer service and admin roles, I am beyond ready to switch gears. I prefer to work independently--I opened my own artisan craft business in 2004--and though I found SEO writing to be fairly easy, I soon discovered that I really shone as an editor. A lifetime of creative writing and editing my own work put me into a position to help authors edit their self-published novels. In 2011, I edited and proofread Rafael Chandler's first novel, and since then, I have been hunting for a way to do exactly that kind of work full-time.

The other reason behind my decision to look for more remote work is that my husband has Parkinson's disease, and as his caregiver, I need flexibility in my career. We will be moving from Connecticut to Ohio in October 2018, and this would make my transition from one location to the other a lot easier.

I am an open, friendly, and confident person who works well on her own or in a team. I'm at my best when I have a project of my own and a clear set of expectations.
