My students, adults hungry for language, sit in cozy corners of their homes and we converse, dissect sentences, and unravel grammatical mysteries. Their eyes light up when they grasp a tricky concept, and I, too enjoy the gift of understanding. I guide them through the labyrinth of English aculturation sprinkling anecdotes and grammatical tidbits along the way.

In this virtual ballroom, we waltz through tenses and cha-cha with vocabulary. And as I witness their progress—the hesitant becoming eloquent, the timid finding their voice—I am reminded of the magic inherent in teaching. Language, transforms lives.
