I am a specialist in creating, preparing, planning and organizing materials and projects related to marketing communications. I worked for managing directors, general managers, and department directors in my almost 15 years of working for a local hotel chain and a hotel and property management company in the Philippines. My well-rounded administrative skills and my eye for details are my greatest strengths.
Before I became a hotelier, I was first a news writer for a local radio station then became a HR staff in a consumer goods company. Thefoundation for my skillset right now came from the hospitality industry where I was given the chance to be promoted from being a junior secretary in the executive office, until I became a junior manager. Over the years, I was able to participate in the organization of projects/ events of different kinds and magnitude - from intimate wine tasting nights to triathlons. I am very hands-on from planning to execution ensuring that all aspects of the project are well documented, thoroughly thought of and complete with a detailed list, realistic timelines, proper costing, and that they are clearly communicated with concerned parties. All of these can’t be completed without a great amount oftime spent on online and offline research, email communication, business writing, copy writing, data gathering, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Some of the projects I was able to be part of mainly fall into three categories:
·Administrative – regularly communicates with superiors, generate reports, make presentations, research, staff supervision, writing correspondences, materials canvassing, supplier relations, write copies for posters, flyers and other printed materials, oversee and check outputs of graphic artists, proofread copies, coordinate with concerned parties, both internal and external
· Event Organization – themed children’s parties, fashion shows, client appreciation parties, wedding expos, exhibitions, golf tournaments, product launches, company anniversaries, wine tastings, concerts, triathlon
·Digital – manage/ monitor Facebook pages, create content and calendar for the Facebook pages, generate organic fans, reply to comments and private messages, write content for websites, supervise website development/ re-design from creation of sitemap until it goes live
