Refactored controller layer to extract business logic into a Service class, so unit testing could be added. Designed and developed Real Time’s Admin Site, used to manage internal process necessary to support the Customer Portal. This app was written with Angular 4, ASP.Net Web API,Entity Framework and Sql Server. Responsible for delegation and management of development task to contracted employees. This includes design requirements, establishing coding standards and code reviews. Lead initiative to automate all of Real Time’s regression testing of our Customer Portal. This was accomplished using the Protractor Framework and Jasmine reporter. Software Operations Lead - Celtic Healthcare Mars PA March 2015 – March 2017 Responsible for hiring and managing Celtic’s software development team, with primary focus on delivering all work committed within a two-week sprint. This included process improvement, centered around code reviews, coding standards, unit testing, and refactoring a legacy ASP.Net Web forms application. Automated the building and deployment of five of Celtic’s core user applications. This included an ASP.Net application, three Windows services, and a WCF Desktop application. An Oracle and Sql Server database were part of the upgrade process as well. This saved the team countless hours of flawed deployments. This was accomplished using TeamCity, PowerShell scripts, and Sql Server DACPAC packages. Designed and built a tool called FlashDocs to assist in the filling in of Nursing Documentation. Developers and QA typically spent 15-20 minutes filling in these forms while developing and testing. This process would have to be repeated numerous times quite often. FlashDocs utilized a Windows app to update the underlying xml used by the forms to reduce this process to a few seconds. Lead Developer/Manager Applications Development - USIS Grove City PA August 2011 – January 2015 Plan, architect, and oversee the company’s IT software application strategy and implementation. Provide leadership and guidance to the application development and support team. Hire, train, develop, and lead a technical team comprising web developers, database designers and graphic designers. Saved company estimated 1.5 million dollars with the implementation of a web application that streamlined our Case Review process (QTrack). Application utilized Telerik’s Kendo UI HTML 5 controls, ASP.Net/MVC, C# and Sql Server. This project was also USIS’s first attempt at Agile, as the process was reviewed and refined on a monthly basis. QTrack was deemed a 100% success by USIS, and as a result, other projects adopted our hybrid Agile process. Designed and developed a dynamic survey tool that was used by USIS customers and investigators to conduct online site surveys at various doctors offices. Utilized CSS and JQuery to allow for a responsive UI design, so the survey could appropriately render on a handheld device, or a laptop browser. Lead Case Retention barcoding application project, which streamlined USIS’ manual process of retaining case papers for a 90-day period. We used JQuery, ASP.net/MVC/C# and Sql Server to utilize barcodes on case papers, which tracked the papers current location within the Retention warehouse. Wrote a native Android application that printed the current date and time on photos. Investigators use this application to take photos of Doctors offices (handicap parking spaces, hours of operation, etc). I used Java and the Android api. Lead project that automated a billing task that occupied 3 man-hours daily. We placed an MVC front end on top of existing stored procedures that were manually executed daily, and added detailed logging, instrumentation, and alerts. Improved Software development process by introducing source code branch management, test driven development, code reviews and continuous integration. Senior Software Engineer - Millennium Pharmacy Systems, Cranberry PA August 2009 – August 2011 Responsible for the designing, development and maintenance of a Nursing Home Management System using AJAX, ASP.Net, MVC.Net, C#/VB.Net. Architected and programmed new Drug Ordering system, utilizing WCF services and a Silverlight embedded web control on the front end. Also managed offshore developers who worked on UI design. Wrote a client side printing solution to serialize an object out of a Silverlight client using JQuery templates and JSON, and then communicate with a 3rd party ActiveX control.
