The Impact of Occupational Stress on Job Motivation and Job
Satisfaction among University employees July 2021
This thesis centers on different perspectives and approaches to the job
performance dimensions. For such reasons, the literature review is based on a
contrasting approach between occupational stress and performance. However,
two main dimensions intervene to enhance better performance at work. The
first one is related to job satisfaction while the second is related to job
motivation. The literature review analysis helped to establish the theoretical
foundation for each of the studied components as well as for the research
hypotheses formulation. The research methodology is quantitative. A survey of
21 items was disseminated to the USEK community. Data were collected from
144 respondents. The variables are measured via a reflective with 21 five-point
Likert scale items as manifests. Such a measurement scheme should be
examined for validity and reliability. This is possible through confirmatory
factor analysis (CFA). Results have shown negative relationships between the
said variables.
The Traits of Personality and the Choice of University studies June 2013
All research responds to a need experienced by the researcher, a need nourished by
the observation of a fact or by astonishment at a phenomenon. This initial
astonishment leads to the formulation of a first initial question. The question that
concerns our work can be phrased this way: Do personality traits determine the
choice of study in psychology? The resulting questions are: What personality traits
are most found in Lebanese female psychology students? Or: What are the
personality traits that characterize Lebanese female students who have chosen
psychology as a specialization? Or: Are there any predominant, or common,
personality traits among Lebanese female students who choose psychology as a
specialization.
