Hi, my name is Jaycyl Jane Duma-og, medical virtual assistant from Philippines. I have been working with US healthcare industry for over 6 years and also started my medical virtual assistant journey since 2022.
For the past years of working on this industry, I have developed strong skills in claim submission and claim follow up, medical AR collections, insurance verification, payment posting, scheduling, communicating with patients, providers and insurance companies, call handling, EMR/EHR navigations and utilizing different insurance portals.
In addition to my experience with EMR/EHR navigation, I have worked with several tools, including NetHealth, AMD, CPR+, Availity, Waystar, PCC, pVerify, and Noridian.
I’m strong at multitasking, thinking critically, managing my time effectively, and staying organized. I’m also very comfortable working remotely, with over five years of experience working from home.
What makes me different from the rest, is my ability to adapt quickly. I understand that a remote work setup often offers limited immediate support, and I need to work independently most of the time. There would also sudden changes with the tasks or the workflow. That’s where adaptability becomes important. From my previous roles, I made sure to carefully understand the tasks assigned to me so I don’t need to constantly ask questions. I'm also resourceful most of the time and find solutions on my own rather than always relying on my colleagues and supervisors. Lastly, I always make myself ready to adjust to new changes at any time.
