Leadership
- Hired, trained and managed a team of Purchase Executives to assist with product portfolio worth USD 1.5 Million / year in sales
(8 Main Categories, 40+ Sub-Categories, 2000+ SKUs sourced from 45 Suppliers across China, Malaysia, UK, US, India)
- Secured government license for import of restricted products thus enabling company became sole business in India to be fully
compliant for registration as preferred vendors for Tier-1 Manufacturing firms while also saving USD 660 in fees spent to lease
license from an external agency.
New Product Development
- Introduced 481 New SKU’s in 2 years which constituted 11% of company’s entire product portfolio and brought USD 400K sales
while meeting the average target margin of 30%.
- Launched inhouse DC motor brand (consisting of 6 Sub-categories, 52 SKUs) bringing in sales worth USD 35K in 2018-19 while
maintaining a margin of 70% which was about 20 % more than other 3 in-house brands launched in the same period.
- Devised a market disrupting DIY motor and encoder assortment option for 6 motor variants providing the customer flexibility to
buy motor and encoder separately as per need due to easy solder and attach feature.
Online Sales Campaign
- Increased sales of entire motor category by 24% which resulted in 2% increase in total online sales QOQ through a planned website
sales campaign to promote new motor sub-categories and boost sales of existing ones through sales price revision.

Process Improvement
- Designed a new structure for Procurement and Marketing departments with a focus on striking a balance of ownership of products
and fulfilling departmental functions to eliminate problems caused by working in silos and got it approved by founders thereby
reducing TAT for new product listing by 8 days.
Data Analysis
- Improved average monthly stock levels by 15% (65% to 80%) by making Excel tool for automatic inventory tracking.
- Formulated loss of profit (LOP) metric to track percentage profit loss due to stockouts and enabling 8% reduction of monthly LOP
% (22% to 14%) over 6 months.
- Saved around 4 hrs/order of Purchase Executives by designing Excel tool for reorder quantity calculation.
Vendor Management
- Increased quarterly cash flow by INR USD 2.3K by renegotiating credit terms with a top brand (Cytron) which was about to strip
exclusive distributor status and also got a budget of INR 6.9 lac/yr sanctioned for digital marketing of the brand’s products on
Facebook, Google Ads and Instagram in India.
- Acquired distributorship from international brand (Sparkfun) within first 6 months in the company which founders had been trying
for 2 years.
- Built customised tool in Excel for inventory and sales reporting which is now the default dashboard used in departmental meetings.
