Bidlisiw Foundation (A Case Study)
Bidlisiw Foundation
A Case Study
(ACX Outsourcing Hub)
Established since March 1989, Bidlisiw Foundation is a social development nongovernment agency that has been operating in Regions 6 & 7 in the Philippines. For 30
years, this Filipino-managed NGO has been providing help to poor families who are
informal settlers as well as families with children who are in need of special protection. It
has been successfully implementing programs and projects that would afford their target
beneficiaries with the following: (1) healing, (2) recovery and reintegration, (3) health, (4)
education, and (5) technical-vocational training and livelihood.
Bidlisiw Foundation has been in coordination with local government units,
government agencies, non-government organizations, and target groups/communities for
wider impact and support to maintain and sustain its ongoing charitable activities and
services. Nonetheless, it needs to establish a strong online presence to communicate its
advocacy and to acquire assistance and commitment from prospective donors coming
not only from the two regions where it is based but also from around the world.
CHALLENGE
Since its inception, the Bidlisiw Foundation has gained prominence with its
branding and marking in the communities where it has created an impact in terms of social
development. The name of the foundation itself, which is a Visayan term for the rays of
the rising sun, implies its efforts to champion hope for families who seek opportunities for
life improvement and progress. However, the brightness of the rays of its remarkable
charitable efforts has not reached a much wider audience so to speak. Its efforts are only
recognized to individuals and organizations within the regions where it has been
instituted. Thus, there is a need for Bidlisiw Foundation to establish a strong online
presence to help its programs and projects achieve worldwide recognition and support.
The main challenge for ACX Outsourcing Hub is to create a site that would lead to
the following opportunities:
a. Visual and textual information of the numerous programs and projects of the
foundation and its partners for the knowledge of prospective donors and funding
partners
b. Generate leads to donations through good marketing strategies
c. Create much traffic to the site daily with the help of quality keywords for good rank
positions to reach a global audience
We, at ACX Outsourcing Hub, took this as an opportunity to take part in spreading
the advocacy of the Bidlisiw Foundation. We want to create a cost-efficient site for them
that can achieve maximum ROI for the financial support that the foundation would gain.
SOLUTION
We designed a site that has met the expectations of the client by addressing the
challenges individually with feasible solutions and integrating these into the structure of
the site.
First, we created a site with a user-friendly interface. We made sure that the visuals
and texts that provide essential information on the foundation are well-laid out and of high
quality. The information consists of past and current activities of the foundation and the
beneficiaries of its ongoing programs and projects.
Second, we created strategic call-to-action banners that would invite interested
individuals and organizations to explore more the programs and projects and the people
behind the foundation. We attached social media buttons to lead online users to share
information on their monthly or yearly activities.
Last, we made sure that we embedded good quality keywords to the contents of
the site to create a good amount of traffic daily on the site that would lead to good rank
positions.
RESULTS
The site has been gaining consistently good online exposure with the help of its
social media buttons which have allowed its users to share the various contents about
the foundation. Through this, the foundation has been receiving a continual flow of
donations from individuals and organizations not only within the Philippines but also from
countries in Europe and Asia. Local and international organizations have contacted the
board of trustees for partnerships to continually support the programs and projects of the
foundation. Some have expressed to help strengthen these two projects of the foundation:
(1) Child and Family Healing, Recovery and Reintegration (CFHRR), and (2) Sustaining
Educational Pursuits for Children in Need of Special Protection (CNSP). The foundation
has acquired good ROI in less than two weeks since the publishing of their website as
several private individuals and non-government organizations pledged to fund their
current activities which gained strong online visibility as social media feeds.
