I started my first job at the age of 15 in a Sales capacity as a retail sales representative over the weekends. I carried this job through my entire high school career before starting as a part-time waiter over the weekends while obtaining a tertiary education. In my second year of studies, I moved from hospitality into “Logistics” by picking up a part time role as a prep and delivery person for a flower and delivery company, all while still dedicating myself to my studies. In my third and final year, I went back to a retail role for the same company I started with, however this time I returned as a full time store manager (and did my third and final uni year online). While at uni I also did some freelance work aligned with my degree (Crewtive brand communications - with a core discipline in Copywriting) mainly dabbling in website copywriting, website revamps, editing and proofreading and some minor graphic design roles. Over the course of the journey, up until this point, I had learnt a great many skills ranging from empathy and interpersonal skills to organisation, time management and perseverance (as well as the many other skills the hospitality and retail industry teach you). I then decided to challenge myself in the middle of 2025 and began looking for a new role to further develop both my personal and professional skill set. Up until this point I had kept my learning muscles active by purchasing and completing online courses (primarily from Udemy). This is how I found my most recent role as a business development representative as well as a client success manager. It was a office based, remote role working for an American based BPO. I worked for 4 clients in 2 separate capacities, doing sales and cold calling for 2 of them and then as a client success representative (mainly managing, editing and generating the clients social media posts) for another 2 separate clients.
While working as a business development representative, I was also responsible for pipeline management, appointment setting, daily and weekly admin as well as 3 multi-touch outreach campaigns (across email, text, call and LinkedIn DMs).
Then while working in the client success capacity, I was asked to up skill myself in AI content generation, a task I very readily took on, making quite proficient in Gemini AI, Meta AI, Google Labs as well as minor having proficiency in Runway and Sora.
